The Henkel House (1852) This
was the home of Round Tops first Mayor, Edward Henkel, who was
a Hamburg College graduate, founder of the towns first Lutheran
church and its first Justice of the Peace. He and his wife settled
here in 1846. Mr. Henkel was owner of Henkel Store, the towns
general store. This home today stands in its original location.
